Getting Here
Directions
From Colombo
Approximately 130 km south via the Southern Expressway (E01). Take the Imaduwa exit and proceed to Ambalangoda. The journey takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours by car.
From Galle
Approximately 20 km north along the coastal road (A2). The monastery is a short distance inland from Ambalangoda. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes.
By Public Transport
Buses run regularly along the A2 highway between Colombo and Galle, stopping at Ambalangoda. From Ambalangoda bus stand, the monastery can be reached by tuk-tuk or local bus.
The nearest railway station is Ambalangoda, on the coastal line.
