A Legacy of Dhamma

Our History

Est. 1951

A Tradition of Purity and Practice

The Sri Lanka Ramanya Maha Nikaya, associated with the Sri Kalyani Yogasrama Sansthawa, was founded on a commitment to the original teachings of the Lord Buddha. Our journey began on June 18, 1951, with a vision to revive and preserve the noble path of Theravada Buddhism in its purest form.

From our humble beginnings, we have grown into a global community dedicated to the practice of meditation, the study of the Dhamma, and the cultivation of a simple, mindful life. Our history is a testament to the enduring power of the Buddha’s teachings and the unwavering dedication of our venerable monks.
